ECHS@MC, EARLY COLLEGE HIGH SCHOOL
The Permian Basin's Only Exemplary High School Campus
Early College High School at Midland College is a joint effort between the Midland Independent School District and Midland College to provide students with the opportunity and support necessary to achieve their goal of post secondary education while attending high school. Upon the completion of four years of instruction, it is expected that students will receive a high school diploma from MISD as well as an Associate’s degree from Midland College through the confluence of high school courses and dual credit opportunities. The first class was welcomed in the Fall of 2009.

"Coming to ECHS@MC was something I had never expected to have happen to me. It has truly been an honor to be accepted into such a rewarding program and it has helped me to achieve goals that I would never have set for myself anywhere else. I have accomplished many things since coming here to ECHS@MC such as obtaining an “A” and “B” average in all pre-AP classes. I have even succeeded in earning straight “A’s” and I am currently working toward that goal again. It is such a confidence boost knowing that any obstacle thrown in your way can be overcome. That is one thing our school has strived so hard to teach us. Our teachers here know what we are capable of and push us to the limit so that we will not become complacent. I have grown so much as an individual since coming to this school and I would not trade this experience for the world.” ~ Austin Rodriguez
